Hidden in a museum
Cooperation with Michaela Zeinerová Brachtlová
The exhibition Hidden in the Museum – V2023011 benefits primarily from an in-depth probe into the Collection of the National Agricultural Museum (NZM) and uses exclusively the collection objects registered in it to fulfill its intended purpose. The collection objects are worked with in an innovative way, going beyond the usual informative, educational or historical concept of museum exhibition practices. The collection objects are placed in a new context, which reflects, for example, the procedures of conceptual creation and various forms of presentation in the museum environment.
On this basis, it is also possible to show objects that are rarely or not at all exhibited, or that cannot be exhibited in the usual way, and thus open the question of the possibilities of communication and distribution of museum content. The exhibition also refers to the history of the NZM Collection and the development of the museum institution as such. It offers an alternative presentation of selected objects, with the awareness that the exhibition is a specific means of communication with the visitor and a unique intellectual space.
